Intermediate through expert! Sprecks is usually the windiest area on the North Shore, and fills in the best on easterly winds. It offers a beautiful, but windy beach. Summer finds the "Speed freaks" racing across the water at unbelieveable speeds. An exposed reef just upwind of the launch site must be avoided. When the waves pick up in the fall, you'll see plenty of air. Most sailors ride the waves in the cove just upwind. Outer Sprecks can have the largest winter waves on the island, with faces over 30 feet. Use caution!
