Other comments:

What qualities distinguish a Sahlin guitar?
A fine musical instrument is created for one fundamental purpose: to allow the musician to communicate the various thoughts and emotions that can only be expressed in musical terms. The special qualities of a Sahlin guitar enable the artist to achieve this end freely and in the most personal way possible.

Sonority. The results of thoughtful experimentation with materials and designs and the sensitive manipulation of woods chosen for their tonal potential produce an instrument with a rare combination of clarity, power and responsiveness.

Playing ease. Many factors affect playability besides the distance between the frets and the strings. Neck shape, fret height, string angle at the nut and saddle, and even the stiffness of the top are all carefully adjusted to help alleviate muscular tension and fatigue in practice and performance.

Individuality. The singular nature of each musician is a fact largely ignored in the mass marketing of musical instruments. Sahlin guitars may be ordered in 6, 7, 8 and 10 string models, and accommodations can be made for personal preferences in neck width, string length and tone. A wide variety of woods is stocked to build these instruments since each species contributes unique tonal qualities to the completed guitar. Some of the woods available are Engelmann spruce, German spruce, Sitka spruce, red cedar and redwood for tops, and Brazilian rosewood, Indian rosewood, Honduras rosewood, Macassar ebony, cocobolo, koa and various figured maples for backs and ribs.

Structural integrity. By seasoning the woods for years to relieve internal stresses and by precisely regulating shop conditions and gluing practices, the dependability of each guitar is assured. The concertizing artist can perform with confidence in virtually all climatic playing conditions.
