THE  WATERFALL HOUSE

The Waterfall House of Pali Uli enjoys the premier site on the estate. This architecturally stunning home is comprised of a series of six columned glass octagons spread out along one hundred feet of cliffedge directly above Hanehoi Falls complete with a large private pool in the sheltered patio on the leeward side of the residence. It's two thousand square feet of living space are arranged into a one bedroom, one and one-half bathroom luxury home.

An in-ground hot tub, cliffside breakfast bar and the large viewing deck on the oceanside shown in the photo above, command a view of the entire northshore coast all the way to distant Hana while Hanehoi Falls thunders one hundred and fifty feet into an oceanfront gorge directly below them and the summit peaks of Haleakala volcano glisten above the rainforest in the distance above and beyond the falls.

The fully air conditioned master bedroom at the Waterfall House is a glass octagon opening out to a lava cobblestone patio with an emerald tiled, in-ground hot tub and outdoor shower looking out to the waterfall and the sea on the oceanside, and into a small cobblestone patio with a marble pedestaled outdoor shower surrounded by pearl ginger on the leeward side. A built-in, seven foot round, king sized, raised marble pedestal bed resting beneath a full seven foot skylite supported by vine entwined columns stands at the center of the glass octagon.

Beyond the master bedroom continuing along the cliffedge is the master bathroom. A six foot round, marble sunken tub in the center of this glass octagon also rests between vine entwined columns reaching up to a full, six foot round skylite high above. Glass doors open in all directions from the master bath onto private lava stone patios...

A fourteen foot, mirrored, serpentine marble vanity counter is tucked into an alcove to the side of the sunken tub in the octgonal bathroom. Outdoors on the oceanside, a lava stone patio by the cliffedge holds the in-ground hot tub. Two outdoor showers, one on the cliffedge, and the other in a private leeward patio, complete the master bathroom.

the Waterfall House living room
The living room of the Waterfall House is a twenty-eight foot glass octagon exquisitely furnished with Asian artifacts and textiles. The living room also includes a ten foot wide marble fireplace and a Yamaha baby grand piano, as well as a full surround sound system, compact disc and cassette player, video cassette player, one hundred channel satellite television complete with all movie channels, and a fully stocked CD library. Complimentary high speed wireless internet access is available throughout the compound. Glass doors open in all directions to private lava stone patios.

The living room opens to the cliffedge viewing deck directly above Hanehoi Falls shown at the top of this page on the oceanside and to a private pool set in a lava stone patio surrounded by lush pearl ginger on the leeward side. The private pool patio has an outdoor dining area and barbeque and is shaded from the tropical sun by mature stands of bunch palms.

Radiating off of the livingroom is an octagonal dining hall with vined columns towering twenty-seven feet to its ceiling. The dining hall looks out across the pool and opens onto the lava stone patio and outdoor dining and barbeque area through a series of glass doors. A suspended hanging loge, looking out to the estate grounds across the pool patio and dining hall below, is accessed by a winding stairway up to the library tower. The loge contains a built-in day bed set amidst the climbing vines winding up from the dining hall below.

A fully equipped octagonal kitchen , complete with green serpentine marble slab counters and all amenities, overlooks the cliffedge breakfast bar and opens into the dining hall and living room, completing the residence.

The entire residence and it's patios and gardens are exquisitely decorated in Balinese and Javanese furnishings and textiles, Asian art and Balinese statuary inside and out.
