The purpose of the People to People Student Ambassador program is to foster a greater understanding of other people and cultures. I was a representative of my family, the State of Hawaii and the United States of America. The program allowed me to make friendships with other young people, enjoy cultural and educational experiences, and share my own world with others.

In addition to travelling and having a great time, I was able to receive high school and college credits from Eastern Washington University. This was my second trip as a Student Ambassador. In 1999, I went on the European Discovery trip, and visited Italy, Austria, Switzerland and France.
