| The rich pastels of Hawaiian flowers surround the text of this limited edition lithograph. Hand numbered and signed by local artist, Shayna Magid. The text, translated by Kamehameha School Chaplin, Kahu David Kaupu, comes from: "The Legend of Halemano", Collection of Hawaiian Antiquities - which is based on ancient Hawaiian oral tradition prior to the coming of the missionaries; the Biblical "Song of Songs"; and Kahu Kaupu's Hawaiian wedding ceremony. Ka Palapala Male is a new concept that is grounded in Hawaiian tradition. A beautiful reminder of an important and special time. |
