Ka Palapala Male(TM) For over two thousand years husbands have given their wives marriage contracts which spoke of their love and commitment to each other. In the Middle Ages, these documents were elaborately illuminated. They still are, but with a special difference. Hawaiian-born artist, Shayna Baecker Magid, has created a version of the marriage contract using visual elements from her own Hawaiian roots. Its poetic text is based on ancient Hawaiian oral tradition; the Biblical "Song of Songs"; and a modern Hawaiian wedding ceremony. Ka Palapala Male(TM) is a new concept grounded in Hawaiian tradition. A beautiful reminder of an important and special time to be framed and cherished forever. The E Hoomau Maua Kealoha, Lei Aloha Lei Makamae and Hookahi Makamaka O Ko Aloha are unlimited editions measuring 12" x 16". The Na Pua Nani is a limited-edition lithograph measuring 19" x 24". Hand numbered and signed by the artist. All four are printed on museum quality acid-free paper. They are all presented in an elegant portfolio and packaged in a sturdy mailer for shipping
Ka Palapala Male TEXT The entire text may be found in Na Pua Nani wedding certificate, however the middle paragraph is excluded from the other three smaller Ka Palapala Male certificates.
