Evaluation/Critique
Rates:
$55/hour or determined by length and content.
Copywriting
Services
focus on mechanics of writing such as grammar, spelling,
punctuation, typos and word usage.
Services include:
proofreading and copyediting;
marketing and advertising copy (brochures, print ads,
direct mail letters, e-mail campaigns, advertorials,
names and taglines, TV and radio spots); public
relations copy (press releases, bios); and web copy.
Rates are flexible,
with an average hourly rate of $60-75/hour. Projects can be billed
by the hour or by a flat fee (including all meetings, research, writing,
editing, proofreading and up to two
revisions). Client satisfaction is guaranteed!

The Manuscript Analysts-
Jackie Pias Carlin is a former performing and visual
artist. She has a Bachelor Degree in LIBARTS in Human Relations from
the University of Hawaii and Masters in English from the Bread Loaf
School of English of Middlebury College.
She taught creative writing in the Personal and Community Enrichment
Program for Maui Community College, and Business Writing WI Class
in the regular curriculum. She currently leads workshops in autobiography/memoir
at Kaunoa Senior Centers in Maui, Hawaii, biannually.
Her
memoir, Spirit of the Village A Maui Memoir is in its second
printing and was published in 2005, available at all Borders, amazon.com,
and from her website: jackiepiascarlin.maui.net. Ebook
copies are also available on Kindle.
She
believe anyone can obtain good writing habits by practicing the elements
and basic structure of writing. Like Tai Chi, writing is a life long
practice. Jackie lives on Maui, Hawaii and Las Vegas, Nevada where
she exercises, cooks and gardens. She travels when the rates are affordable.
Her Evaluation/Critique services have assisted many writers seeking

Sky
Barnhart is a freelance journalist and was named
"2008 SBA Small Business Journalist of the Year" for
Maui County by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Originally from Oregon, Sky earned her B.A. in
Journalism at the University of Oregon and M.A. in
English at National University in San Diego. During
the last 10 years, she has worked as a newspaper
reporter, magazine editor and marketing copywriter.
Sky taught Journalism at UH Maui College, formerly living
in Ha'iku, Maui, with her husband, Steve. She loves to surf, travel
and garden.
Sky is currently an English professor at the University of Oregon.
David Joy
is our new Warrior Proofreader based in Kula, Maui. His many
experiences include senior proofreader for CVS and Harris Publishing,
copy editor for To Your Good Health, and writer and proofreader
