Services
Include:
1. Readings of entire manuscript.
2. Evaluation emphasizes setting and theme, character development,
voice, pace and dialog.
3. Critique involves overview
of the storyline, credibility and readability; plot, structure, style,
character viewpoint and use of creativity.
4. Suggest placement for
audience and genre.
5. Additional consultation
for Q&A's after Evaluation/Critique is completed available through
personal meeting, telephone or email.
6. Services do not focus
on mechanics of writing such as grammar, spelling, punctuation, typos
and word usage which a word processor automatically does, unless glaringly
incorrect.
Rates:
Average
between $4/per page and $60/hr for full manuscripts. $60/hr. for less
than 10,000 words.
10% discount
for returning clients.

believe anyone can write a good story by practicing the elements and
basic structure of writing. Like Tai Chi, writing is a life long practice.
I
teach creative writing in the Personal and Community Enrichment Program
at Maui Community College and give workshops in autobiography at Kaunoa
Senior Center in Paia, Maui, Hawaii.
I
sang professionally in my early 20's, was a visual artist for 25 years
and returned to college in 1997. I received a MA English from Bread
Loaf School of English, Middlebury College at Lincoln College, Oxford,
England in 2004.
