Guidelines:

  1. Copy and paste your submission in your email message. Do not send as an attachment as attachments may contain viruses.
  2. Online submissions should not extend more than 1500 words. Essays, poetry, fiction, shortstories, nonfiction on any subject and excerpts from longer unpublished works are acceptable.
  3. Read Copyright Policy below.
  4. Include your name, contact address and a short biography of yourself. A photo is welcomed.
  5. writeonmaui.com cannot not pay for submissions at the moment but authors may advertise their books, publications or services for the month in which your work is featured. If nothing is for sale, tell us what you do to make our world community a safe place to be. After all, writers don't just write.
  6. Check for typos, misspelled words, and grammatical errors. Ask a friend to proofread your submission. Submissions are reviewed for quality and content before they are accepted for publication.
  7. A draft is sent to you prior to publication on the web. Corrections must be returned to writeonmaui.com before deadline date.
  8. No X-rated literature.
