The following are roughly in the order of production flow from the point of view (POV) of a local producer anywhere in the world.

Get new global participants via the net
Build New KidCast Web Site
Promote event on the Web
Promote event locally
Acquire sponsors, Local, National, International (report to V.A.R.I.O.U.S.)
Identify and Seek Funding consisting of grants, foundations, etc. (Tithe 10% back to V.A.R.I.O.U.S.)
Design and produce PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS for local gathering: 
Please lift anything (graphics and words) off the Creativity Cafe KidCast web site to support your local PR efforts.
Seek volunteers; local production team, PR folks, fundraising, local CU-SeeMe host, coordinators, etc.
Arrange for local press coverage. Send release and photo (available at http://creativity.net/KidCast/kcpr.html)
Cooperate with principal local public venue(s) &  sponsor(s) for promotional consideration
Install software for CU-SeeMe Videoconference and other KidCast Inter-activites at public venue-assist technology coordinators a participating schools to do likewise. Contact V.A.R.I.O.U.S. for particulars.
Overcome technical obsticals through local (Machine config) and network (CU-SeeMe) testing
Maintain and update KidCast Central Web site; pre-event
Write proposals for KidCast to be part of suitable conferences and trade shows
Write proposals for KidCast to be considered for potential funding sources
Write proposals for local school participation (see separate basic requirements)
Maintain Mailing List and communication with past, present and future players
Test systems before Earthday netcast
Acquire needed resources (video camera for CU-SeeMe, CU-SeeMe updated software, find and schedual kids to appear locally, globally, etc.)
Answer email suggesting alliances for future expansion, collaborations
Find time to earn a living and have a life beyond the project (grin)
Continue to meet with potential investors and partners interested in Creativity Cafe/physical
Manage personal physical and emotional health challenges in light of the above being on one persons shoulders
Post production: gather videotaped documentation, photographic documentation, online documentation
Revise KidCast Central for post project public enjoyment/edification
Heal from production office experience of one person wearing too many hats and operating with no budget or staff.
