The ocean around Rarotonga has many excellent dive sites -
Pinnacles, Black Rock Caves and Mataora. The views, the colorful
tropical fish, the drop-offs and swim-throughs will make your dives
enjoyable and interesting.
Cook Island Divers operate a 20 foot and a 23 foot (RIB) rigid
inflatable. Greg Wilson, the chief instructor and Divemaster, has
been working in the Cook Islands since 1973. All of the staff are
registered Dive leadership personnel.
"Small groups (6 max.) - excellent visibility - zero
currents - short runs to dive sites - and always an available
lee????"

The fringe reef of the Aitutaki Lagoon is an excellent dive area
with walls, wrecks, caves, coral and good picturesque sea life.
Aitutaki Scuba caters to the traveling diver, and their personnel are
very knowledgeable of the reef. They offer dive courses, dive trips,
first class hire equipment, safe boats and have an excellent safety
record.
Operated by Neil Mitchell who has seventeen years experience in the
Cook Islands and has made over 4,000 dives on Aitutaki. All dives are
escorted by qualified Divemasters.
"Small groups - Aitutaki is 160 miles by air from Rarotonga;
so, you must plan to spend one night after a dive before returning to
Rarotonga."

Air Rarotonga, the local airline of the Cooks, offers all the
interisland flights to the Southern Cooks. They have three daily
flights to Aitutaki and ONE DAY TOURS TO AITUTAKI. It includes
transfers on Rarotonga, a ground tour of Aitutaki Island, the lagoon
cruise, snorkeling, swimming and a fabulous Bar-B-Q lunch.

BC in the English translation of the Aitutaki language does not
mean Before Christ; it means Bishop Came. The well guided cruise
includes transfers, all snorkel gear and a great narrated Bar-B-Q.
The Bishop crew does a great job of presenting their island
paradise.
