Rapae Cottages
(Island of Aitutaki)

Located a mile from the harbor, the Rapae has a great location on a shell filled beach that is home to thousands of lively hermit crabs. The rooms are located in duplexes and each has coffee and tea service and a small refrigerator. The government still owns the complex, so the upkeep is not as good as it could be, but the location and attitude of the personnel more than make up the other inadequacies. Prices are reasonable. Bike and car rentals are available. The Aitutaki Scuba office is right across the road, and most fishing trips will pick you up right at the Cottages.

Cove Lodge of Mauke
(Island of Mauke)

The Cove Lodge of Mauke offers two bedrooms with two baths at the north edge of Kimiangatau village. It has a kitchen, lounge and dining area. Auntie Tini & Auntie Pi are your hosts. Archie is the welder, the ham, the VCR repair man and the temporary medical technician. Kura is the business person who has helped the island women succeed as entrepreneurs. They collect maile (a fragrant, beautifully leafed vine used for leis) and export it to Hawaii. Two or three nights on Mauke are relaxed and peaceful.

Atiu Hotel
(Island of Atiu)

	Four A-frame units just a half mile from town. Roger Malcolm built these units with native lumber that he cut himself. The meeting and club room next to the grass tennis courts is a traditional grass hut. Kura Malcolm runs the store and the bank.
