Home to the KISS international teaching standard, Member of the IKO School Network, PASA System and home to the KITES learning system. Kiteboarders of all levels come to Action Sports to be trained and certified from beginner (level 1) up to instructor trainer (IT). The K.I.S.S. system was the first international standard for, kiteboarding Instruction that covers all levels of kiteboarding. The emphasis is on safety, hands-on experience and technical information. Our Instructor team includes world champions, professional kitesurfers and Kiteboarding Instructor Trainers. David Dorn, certified IKO, WIPIKA, KISS, KITES instructor, is also the director of Instructor Training with the KISS Teaching System. (The most popular single day lesson).
This lesson
is a perfect way to experience Kiteboarding! This lesson gives an introduction
to the sport of kiteboarding. Covering the core skills. Wind direction and site
selection, Essential kite
flying skills are taught on land and in the water, including harness technique
and board handling skills. This lesson covers all the basic safety protocols,
safety systems
and self rescue procedures, launching, landing and waterstart technique. We supply
a range of kites sizes and a selection of board sizes and styles to accelerate the learning curve.
With our progressive techniques, you will be in the water within 30 minutes,
learning on-water kite handling. This lesson is the first installment in our
longer training courses, so you can decide if you want to upgrade at any time.
No previous experience is required. Students with previous watersports
experience and board skills will learn even faster because our one-to-one
instructor ratio ensures that you will learn at your own pace.

This 3-lesson course includes 9 hours of kiteboarding instruction spread over three days. This course is the fast track into the Sport for people with a limited amount of time of challenging schedule. The days need not be consecutive. The lesson covers all the techniques in the Kite Intro Class, Covering the core skills. Wind direction and site selection, Essential kite flying skills are taught on land and in the water, including harness technique and board handling skills. This lesson covers all the basic safety protocols, safety systems and self rescue procedures, launching, landing and waterstart technique. We supply a range of kites sizes and a selection of board sizes and styles to accelerate the learning curve. This 5-lesson course includes 15 hours of kiteboarding instruction spread over five days. The classic course gives the student a great head start in the sport of kiteboarding. In the industry this is considered to be the basic level of training for those purchasing kiteboarding equipment. This course covers, Equipment selection, rigging and tuning for the various conditions, Safe launching procedures Assisted launching and self-launching, waterstarts and water recoveries. Navigate around moving & fixed objects. Students will have a solid understanding of kiteboarding safety protocols and self-rescue procedures. A complete range of boards and kites are provided to accelerate the learning process. This course is recommended for people with no previous watersports training who want to learn the sport of kiteboarding and have a thorough understanding of all the skills, and develop board riding skills. This 10-lesson course includes 30 hours of
kiteboarding instruction spread over ten days. This comprehensive course
gives the student a solid foundation in the sport of kiteboarding. This
course is the fast track into kiteboarding covering all the basic skills
covered in the "Classic" course including equipment handling, kite-control
skills,
launching and landing techniques, safety systems and Ride-safe protocols. Students then progress to planing,
riding and jibing, Upwind riding skills. The increased ride-time enables the student to hone
their skills with constant feedback from the instructors, creating the
most rapid progression possible. We can ride with you or caddy your
equipment. In this course we do down-winder coast runs, and utilize alternate
launch sites and beach locations. This course is great for someone who wants to
take the sport of kiteboarding home with them, to a location without

| Kiteboarding Advanced 10-Day Course $1795.00 | |||||||||||

The advanced 10-day (30hr) course
is the ultimate kiteboarding training program. The pre-requisite riding
level for entry to the Advances course is planing both directions, staying upwind
and basic jibing (IKO level 3). The course builds on the basic skills of the
intermediate student
reinforcing a solid foundation and introducing many next level techniques.
Jumping, Jibing, waveriding and looping are covered. Down-winders, and
crossings. Four and five-line
Naish® high aspect
performance kites will be used along with; directional, twin-tip, or wakeboard style
boards. This
is the most advanced kiteboarding course available on Maui. This
course is a prerequisite level for kitesurfers preparing for the KISS*and IKO* instructor courses.

The two-week KISS Instructor course, The Five-day IKO course and the seven-day PASA courses are available by appointment and at various scheduled dates.
Prospective kiteboarding instructors should check out the entry requirements for their course because they all have minimum standards.
The courses cover kiteboarding instructional techniques, school management etc.
Upon completion of the course, instructors undergo a practical skills test
and an Instruction test to obtain the Instructor Certification. Participants must be over 18 and have, current Adult CPR and
First Aid certification. Airfare and accommodation

Action
Sports created the world's first
