Robin and Gaylord, are long-time residents of Hana, Maui. Robin was born in Hawaii and has been traveling to Hana, Maui since she was a child.

She lived and worked on the mainland for years as a store manager and then as a clothing buyer, traveling to New York City every month. She finally came to her senses and returned to a slower paced, happier existence here in Hana, Maui.

Gaylord is a transplant from the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. He is an extraordinary woodworker who creates exquisite furniture in his own shop in Hana, Maui.

Robin & Gaylord know and love Hana, Maui well, so are happy to help you find whatever you're looking for: Spectacular beaches, cool, clear waterfalls and pools, hiking trails, bamboo forests, snorkeling, horse-back riding, tennis, boogie boarding. Or, they will respectfully leave you alone to enjoy the comfort, quiet and beauty right here at Ekena. Razz, the dog, is the official greeter. He is always happy to meet new friends. Gracie & Glory Be, the cats, may stop by to say hello as they cruise the decks or wake from their nap under the jasmine bush. They all enjoy attention, but we understand that not every one enjoys them. They are not allowed in the homes and we ask our guests not to feed them.
