Barry keeps a journal of our vacations and I thought you'd get a kick out of his excerpts from our "Don and Anne" adventures. If ever you wonder what king of impact you have in peoples lives-just keep these "memories" handy!

It seems the highlight of our family vacations have been those Don and Anne adventures. I'm worried now because Don and Barry were talking about Fiji. Not sure I can pull that off. Guess we will see you 1 or 2 times more for the Cal Salmon or a fishing trip. We look forward to it.

Aloha Anne,

Thanks so much for the great photos! We had such a good time and wished we had gone for the whole day! You guys are great hosts and your husband is a kick to go rafting with, especially for us inexperienced ones.....

Thanks also for the great snacks and the arrowheads, the kids loved that! You have all the little touches that make it so nice! We enjoyed seeing you again at the Mexican Restaurant, we ate like we had been out all day. Great food! We shall call again when we come to Southern Oregon and do a longer trip. We are planning on being in Maui next June, would love to know some rafting places there.....

Take care and thanks again for making our day at the river!!!!!!!!!!! It was certainly the highlight of our trip! Let us know if you ever come to Portland, we can show you some great cheap eats there.....

The three of us, Kurt, Kristi and Dan would like to thank you for the fun and hospitality you showed us on the rafting trip yesterday. We got to talking about the trip on the way home and all agreed that I couldn't have chosen a better guide. We enjoyed the knowledge of the river and the area that Don displayed, and we enjoyed the food and hospitality of Anne. As a matter of fact we were quite impressed with the amount and variety of food that was prepared, shoot, I was figuring on a pre-packed sandwich that might have been good, or might not.

In closing I would just like to say you made our trip very enjoyable, and we are going to recommend you to all our friends. The next trip we plan we would like to use you as our guide and we will bring more friends. Once again thank you for the good time.

Dear Don,

We just wanted to email you guys and thank you for a great trip on Wednesday April 22, 1998. Your guide Don is very personable and enjoyable. He did an ex cell ant job showing us not only how to use the kayaks, but on guiding us and showing us the beautiful coastline as well as some unforgettable underwater scenes. He deserves to be commended on an excellent job. We will recommend you to anyone seeking an adventure they won't forget. Thank-you!!

P.S. Tell Don we may look him up for some whitewater rafting on the Rogue River this Summer.

Thanks again for a great trip! Scott was a fun guide and had a great sense of humor. Everyone in our raft had an especially exciting time and are looking forward to next year. Its going to be tough to top this experience though.

Please find enclosed the pictures that I promised to send to you. It took longer than I wanted to get them to you.

We all had a very good time on the fishing trip. The weather and fish really cooperated and your staff went overboard to keep everything going well. The food was great the equipment super and the guides worked very hard. Most of the crew commented that this was the best trip we have been on yet. That is pretty good, considering that this is about our tenth trip, including trips to Alaska and Brazil.

Again, thanks for everything and I hope to fish with you again soon.

Dear Don and Anne,

Just wanted to let you know that I had a great time out on the Rogue River back in September. I enjoyed fishing with Sam, and Mike our guide for the trip did an excellent job. The combination of fishing and the whitewater rapids on the Rogue River made the trip unforgettable. The fishing was better then I expected, the sturgeon was a great surprise, (see enclosed photo).

All the accommodations were excellent, food was great especially the shore lunches. Don and the boys did a fantastic job with everything. I wish to thank you both for a great day of fishing on Saturday, even though Anne caught the biggest fish.
