Clean water, fresh air and sunshine, a wonderful combination. Learn to kayak on the legendary Rogue River. Your guide will teach you all the basics of kayaking. Ride a self-bailing, stable, sit-on-top 'Yahoo' river kayak. Your journey begins on a flat, calm section of the beautiful Rogue River, giving you time to practice your new kayaking skills. You will ride a few small rapids on your journey down river. If you like peace and quiet you will love kayaking, alot of the time we just sit and relax and let the river do the work. There is enough whitewater to keep it exciting without being scary. Bring a waterproof camera, there will be many photo opportunities. You'll be encompassed by nature. Watch osprey (fish eagle) soar above your head, as they scout the river for salmon and steelhead. See salmon jump and splash as they make their way up river to spawn. Deer, great blue heron, kingfisher, Canadian geese, box turtles, and mink live along the river banks.
