In 1983, Sue took her vacation on Maui where she was introduced to diving in Hawaiian waters and to scuba charter operator Ed Robinson. It was love at first dive and a few months later she was packing her bags and moving to Maui. She began helping Ed in his business, Ed Robinson's Diving Adventures, obtaining her divemaster rating within several months and her USCG Captain's License soon after. Sue gained her diving experience and knowledge of marine life while working daily in the ocean. Over the years she and Ed expanded the business to two boats and a staff of 14. 
Sue taped underwater video footage for the Smithsonian  She has spent as much time in front of the camera as behind it. She has been a underwater model for her husband and has appeared on the covers of numerous magazines. Sue's first love is diving. So while Ann is off island she looks forward to the opportunity to spend time in the water and with snorkelers sharing what she loves: Maui's beautiful underwater world. program called The Muppet Babies. Since then, she has moved into
underwater still photography. Sue and Ed have photographed Palau, Yap,
Chuuk, Malaysia, Indonesia, Fiji, Galapagos, Papua New Guinea, Solomon
Islands, Bahamas, Midway Island, Australia and New Zealand.
