I just experienced my first trip to Maui in April.. It was fantastic! I loved it so much I did not want to come home. It was the tail end of whale season so we were able to see quite a few whales. They would come right up beside the boat. Even saw a full breach!We also took the road to Hana and I must say the drive was BEAUTIFUL! Long though.. It took almost 2 hrs to go about 45 miles. My husband and I will be making our 3 trip to Maui in October and are trying to decide if this time around we want to watch the sunrise from Mt. Haleakala. YES: While Maui does not offer the nightlife you'd find on Oahu or in larger cities, we do have dance clubs and live music....
