Love the Sunrise

I have lived on Maui for over 29 years, and whenever I am able to drive to the top of Haleakala and watch the sunrise, it's alway a breathtaking new experience for me. I feel really small in the presence of such beauty. (I have to say I get a kick out of the visitors that don't listen and don't come dressed for the cold).

breathtaking

I have done this many times. Each time is a new experience........but doing the same thing.

1) Freezing

2) Searching for something warm

3) More Freezing

D) drinking hot cocoa

Deep in the heart of texas? I think not. Ever look at the stars from 10,000 feet up? Simply amazing. It's best when there is no moon and cloud cover below to stop the lights from kahului, wailuku, kihei, etc.

The sunrise is awesome but to me it's kind of anticlimactic. The journey and being up there at night before the sunrise is the best part.
