I just saw the South Maui Choppers website and I really like it. I am also compelled to add my review of my rare and exciting experience of riding an Arlen Ness custom bike. I rode the Rainbow bike when it was pretty new, and loved it so much I had to repeat the experience the next day! Lucky we live Maui. The ride on the pali had perfect weather ( as always ) with light traffic, which was ideal. The bike ran flawlessly, and strong. Another biker couple we met at lunch, who ended up riding with us, made my day - when she complemented me on the nice rear view of me / the bike.
Maybe one day I'll be able to buy a Ness Chopper - I really like the looks of the rear shocks, the clean front end, the overall comfort of the ride, and the beautiful stand out presence it makes..
It was truly a memorable experience, and it's comforting to know that I can always do it again at South Maui Choppers. Mahalo for bringing the Ness bikes to Maui.

Hello Cindy and Ray,
I found South Maui Choppers by making a wrong turn and getting lost. Well not according Cindy, I was meant to make that turn. Her faith in God and love for what they do shined on me the minute I walked in the door. I said do you rent Harley’s? With a sparkle in her eyes, and a wonderful smile she said “Yes we do”, and then my eye caught the very famous Arlen Ness Motorcycles sparkling on the showroom floor, may I sit on one? “Yes, and we are only place in the United States that rents the Arlen Ness Motorcycles.” No way! I didn’t care what the cost I was going to ride Maui on a high end chopper.
Cindy and Ray shared several wonderful rides I should take advantage of and after a through briefing, a parking lot demonstration and photo shoot I was off on my adventure. “Sweet” as my 17 year old son would say, what an incredible ride, powerful, smooth, balanced and fast.
I cruised around Kehi and points south the first afternoon and night giving rides to those of my family that wanted one. Mother chickened out, kids were all over it and the next morning I was off to Lahaina for an early morning breakfast.
The morning was crystal with light spotty showers spilling off the brightly lit multi colored green deep shadowed mountains. The sun was at my back and leaned her over left and right and applied the power through the curves on my way to the tunnel. Slow down honey we have all day I told her, she didn’t listen!
My dad always blew his horn as we held our breath going through tunnels, with the two to one exhaust roaring its melodic thunder I down shifted and pored it on WOW what a sound and what a thrill as I shot out of the tunnel like a round from a connon. As the road straightened out and you caught the panoramic view of early morning surfers in the foreground and the island of Lanai across the brilliant blue waters I thought “this is heaven on earth.”

When I saw the advertisement of an Arlen Ness Motorcycle rentals,I had to find out who on the Island was offering such a rare thing.
Ray and Cindy, owners of South Maui Chopper in Kehi, were good enough to open on a Sunday on one of my recent trips in February and allowed me to rent one of their Arlen Ness bikes.
I choose the Lava Flow and had what turned out to be one of the best, if not the best day of riding I have ever had in 37 years of riding.
Thank you Ray and Cindy for providing the oppurtunity to enjoy what I belive to be the best ride on two wheels. I will never forget the total experiance.

These aren't your everyday ordinary bikes; these are truly “works of art on Wheels”. And to be able to rent these choppers and see Maui this way, is truly a fantastic way to see Maui, just like the Locals do.
In fact this is the only place on Earth, that rents the Arlen Ness Motorcycles. You must also be a very proficient rider to rent these Motorcycles, but you will love every minute of it. South Maui Choppers also rents Harley’s too, which is another great way to see the island. They also have one of the best guided tours you can do on Maui. (See Activity section)
If you want to do something that only the select few will ever do, ride some of the best Motorcycles ever made, in the open air and tour Maui’s Magnificent scenery then you should defiantly make South Maui Chopper a must do, on your quest to make your vacation a once in a lifetime experience, and have memories you’ll cherish forever.
I met Cindy and Ray last year and they are just incredible people, devout Christians and truly love what they do. They had a dream to have the most incredible Motorcycles in the World, come to Maui, and be able to offer a guided tour of a Lifetime, and the only place in the United States that rents the very famous Arlen Ness Motorcycles. I was with them during a photo shoot, and I’ll tell these are incredible machines.
