South Side Beaches
Known to the locals as "Big Beach", it is often designated as THE beach to visit. At two-thirds of a mile long, and approximately 100 yards wide, this beach is very popular on the weekends. A great place to snorkle, body board, and swim. Portable restrooms, picnic tables, and paved parking is available.

The beach is the reason for the resort. Much of this gorgeous three mile stretch of sand is lined with hotels and condominiums, but it's a great beach just the same, with spectacular views of the islands of Lanai and Molokai, sailing, and sunsets.

Windward Beaches
Kanaha is one of the premier Wind and Kite surfing beaches in the world. Breath-taking views of the West Maui Mountains and ‘Îao Valley await visitors, a swim, a picnic in the shade of the tall trees flanking the beach, or game of beach volleyball can be enjoyed as well. Street signs along Amala Place point the way: the beach is within walking distance of Kahului Airport and easily-accessible from Hâna Highway (36) with ample parking available.
