More About Maui Vacation Rentals

We're often asked about the best places to stay on Maui, but what really matters is what's best for you. Do you want an accommodation that will be the highlight of your vacation? Or do you just need a convenient place to sleep at night? Do you want to be able to walk to restaurants and shops? Or do you dream of a one-of-a-kind retreat amid the silence of the rainforest?

To help you narrow down your search, we've divided our accommodations by type and location. Browse through the categories below, then follow the links to find specific listings. Happy hunting!

Condominium Rentals

If you love the resort-town lifestyle, but also want the comforts of home, consider a condominium vacation rental. You'll usually get a full kitchen, and often a separate bedroom or two. You'll find many other amenities offered; some properties even include daily maid service.

Condominiums are a great base-of-operations if you're planning to be on-the-go for most of your vacation. They're also perfect for families, since the kids can have their own bedroom. Anyone contemplating a long stay in our island paradise should also look into the convenience of a condominium vacation rental.

On the west side you'll find units available in the resort towns of Lahaina, Kaanapali, Napili, and Kahana. The south side offers rentals in sunny Kihei, Kealia, and Wailea. Cost varies with amenities and location, so shop around -- and don't be surprised to find yourself dealing directly with the owners, who will be happy to acquaint you with all the special features of their home-away-from-home.

Bed & Breakfasts

Each one is different! Some bed & breakfasts are like old fashioned hotels where you are addressed by name and can expect the best personal advice on where to go and what to do during your stay on beautiful Maui. Other B&B's are operated out of often-elegant private homes and cottages where your host or hostess is usually the owner -- and eager to see to it that you enjoy your stay in paradise.

Book early, because bed & breakfasts usually have very limited rooms. Consult each owner on refund and cancellation policies.

Vacation Homes & Cottages

Take a step back from the resorts and find a place to stay in a residential neighborhood. Homes & cottages are available throughout the island, from luxurious beachfront estates to small cottages in the seclusion of the windward rain forests. Many rentals are operated directly by their owners, who will be able to answer all your questions about amenities and availability.

If you want something out-of-the-ordinary, consider renting a Maui home or cottage.
