Daily hula show and Hawaiian music. Dinner 5pm-9:30pm. Barefoot Bar and Cafe 11am-10:30pm. Located on Kaanapali Beach at the Whalers Village.

Went to the Hula grill in 9/2007 for an aniversery dinner. Had to wait for about 1 hour for a table outside, but boy oh boy was it worth the wait! They had live music playing, hula dancers and of course the Tiki torches were all a glow. Not to mention the ocean is the background and the amazing sunset! We all had the freshest grilled fish ever. Started off with a Mai Tai which was the best on the island, and believe me I tried almost all of them!!! Opted for the Kona Cheesecake for dessert, and it was great. The service was fantastic, could not have been any better. This restaruant is exactly what you want when you think of the typical Hawaiian ocean front restauarant. There is a bar area that has the tables on the sand and you take off your shoes and bury your feet in the sand.
We went back there for lunch on a recomendation from a worker in the Whalers Village shops. She said the fish and chips are the best and you guessed it I have never ever had anything even close. Fresh ono fish lightly breaded and lightly fried.
The Hula Grill is truely the best restaurant in the area and I HIGHLY recommend it.
We come to Maui every May and try to eat and view the sunsets here at least once or twice. We always set outside with our feet in the sand and enjoy the sunsets. The food is great, service is prompt and friendly. Try it at sunset you will love it.
