Maui's Cable TV Digital Guide Downgrade

Hi Maui Oceanic Cable TV Subscribers! Has anyone else noticed the wonderful downgrade in the on-screen digital guide? Before Wednesdays modifications we could watch one channel while conveniently navigating within the digital guide by directly entering channel numbers. Now we are stuck using the pageup and pagedown keys alot. If you do enter a channel number directly you lose the guide screen and switch to the channel entered. With the large number of channels now offered it's truly nuts to find Oceanic has decided we no longer need (or is it deserve) the convenience of being able to quickly hop around the on-screen guide while continuing to watch and listen to our chosen channel. We used to have this capability. Who's the genius who opted to foist this change off on Maui Cable Subscribers? In fairness, they do claim to be bringing us other benefits with this change but why must there be a trade off? Don't they control which version of the guide software is in use? Please give them a call to find out why they don't seem to care about the quality of their product.

"Oceanic Cable has corrected the problem with the on-line guide thanks to their Maui Customer Service Manager, Linda. Sharp gal! Too bad she can't help the Honolulu customers who are still going to use the incomprehensible guide setting they have had since the first. Too bad for them. Again, Bravo Linda!!!"
