"Barb, A few things, you can do is to look at Maui.net to see all of the many choices of fun activities there are to do, all with their reviews. In addition see if your hotel has a concierge on duty, and you could go to an orientation on the morning you arrive, to learn more about the many fun things to do. I had family out last October, and we did the following great activities. We went on Kahoma Ranch ATV’s, which is on the west side, and it was a blast. They are more like dune buggies, traveling in the west Maui Mountains, and it is a really fun ride, but is prepared to get very dirty. We also, we to See “Warren and Annabelle’s” a Vegas Style Magic Show, with lots’ of Aloha. Warren is also very funny and likes to tease the audience quite a bit. Next, we went on Safari Tours Snorkel Trip from Lahaina. This is one of the few trips that circumnavigates (goes around) the entire island of Lanai. We saw a ship wreck, several caves that Captain Dave pulls the boat right up to, 3 snorkel spots, and spinner dolphins this is an awesome trip. We also we to see “Ulalena” which is a Hawaiian style Circus de Olay, very powerful 2 hour show, with incredible drums and history. This is as good as many Broadway shows. The next night we went out on Pacific Whale Foundations Dinner cruise, and that was a real treat too. They also have many snorkel trips that are a great value too. We also did the Zip line, which is a blast. They have several now on the Westside, and one upcountry. Other good things to do, is to go to D.T. Flemings beach for boogie boarding, take a surf lesson with Maui Wave riders. Check out the sunset in Lahaina, and they do Art night on Friday nights too. Drive the road to hana, go see the sunrise at Haleakala Crater. The thing is there’s so many things to do, that you won’t be able to do it all in one Vacation. So, choose your must do’s prior and then pick a few when you’re here. Oh, and go see a Luau, with is a must do, my family had gone to one the last time. There are so many food choices. Value, you have a food court in the Lahaina Cannery Mall, Aloha Mix Plate, Penne Pasta, Hecocks, Hula Grill, and so many more. "
