Lahaina Arts Society

Celebrating 40 Years
of Service to the
Maui Community

Lahaina Arts Society, on Maui, Hawaii, is a showcase and "training ground" for local artists, and has been at the center of Lahaina and its art scene since November 14, 1967. It is now the oldest art gallery in one of the largest art markets in the USA. Since 1968, the Society has been located in the Old Courthouse, an historic building in the center of Lahaina, down by the harbor. The building was constructed to form the seat of government for Maui, Hawaii, in the 1860s. Lahaina Arts Society is a 501(c)(3) charity dedicated to arts education and Maui artists.

We foster and encourage art appreciation and expression, the development of artistic ability and other skills, particularly through the medium of classes or other guidance and instruction in all forms of art, including oil painting, water color, drawing, sketching, ceramics, sculpture, lei-making, oriental flower arrangement, interpretive dancing, little theater groups, and generally to cultivate and promote community interest in every form of artistic activity.

Art Galleries: Upcountry

Call to arrange a studio visit to see the work of artist Jan Kazprycki and also the work of his daughter, Lisa. Both are accomplished artists.

The talent exhibited by Maui artist Deybra Fair comes from a “place she goes when her mind, body and soul are taken over by the spirit of imagination.” She works in every conceivable medium available to her, and is constantly in a state of creation.

Gallery Maui is offering limited edition lithographs of works by Ragnit von Mosch. Capturing and evoking tenderness and emotion rarely seen today in most contemporary work, Ragnit conveys the feelings we all share in our most profound and intimate relationships.

Bill and Sally Worcester are a husband and wife glassblowing team. They have worked together in glass professionally since their first studio in 1972.

Peter Naramore personally selected over one hundred pieces of finely crafted European and American antiques and brought them to Maui. They are displayed in The Kingswood Shop, a striking new gallery, built for this collection next to his workshop in Keokea.

This gallery/studio is the only glassblowing studio on Maui. It is completely open to the public. A bright orange glow in the rear of the shop attracts the visitor's eye and proves to be the place where the glass objects are made. Bring the family.
