My Photo Safari
I love teaching photography. I teach at the local college and have a great time each semester helping people of all skill levels learn how to create art with their technological toys. But for me, the best experience is when I get to take a small group of photographers on a Maui safari. Usually these photographers are people who want to experience Maui from an insider's POV. Because I've lived here since the 70's and have worked as a professional photographer for every major landowner on Maui I have access to keys that unlock gates that allow us to get to special Maui photos very few people ever get a chance to shoot. Plus, I have wonderful accomodations in remote areas, where we end up at the end of a long day viewing everyone's best work of the day. People move ahead exponentially in their ability to create great work when they are immersed and getting immediate feedback or creative solutions from someone who's already mastered a certain technique. If you want to sign up for one of these adventures give me a shout. They usually fill up fast, but if you are flexible and can fill in at a last minute cancellation, or can work far enough out we can get you to places and shots that will last a lifetime in your collection. ray@RMPMaui.com is the fastest way to reach me. Aloha no.

"I would love to do this photo safari with you. One of my friends went with you when you stayed on top of Kaupo Ranch in their corporate home and said it was the most amazing thing she had done."

All Things Maui
"I have known Ray for most of my life. Since I was about 8 years old I think, I am now 31. Ray is a great photographer, an awsome frind and a good person. I too would like to take your class Ray, just need to find the time to come to Maui to do it. I have this nice new Nikon D80, and am not able to use it to near its potential."
