Take A Look
I grew up on Maui where I was able to use resources in the community to make films, perform music, and play competitive golf. I was raised in Kula by Bob and Neida, my parents.

In the Hawaiian Language, Holo Kohola means fast whale. By using Holo as our race mascot we hope to raise awareness to the world's fragile eco system through the eyes of our most majestic sea creature - the whale. By making him fast, we will encourage you to train hard and run with Holo, improving your own health and fitness and enhancing your awareness of the beauty and fragility of the Hawaiian Islands.

An Evening in Wailea
Article by Linda Nagata
On the sunny south coast of Maui, in the lee of a ten-thousand foot volcano, paradise approaches perfection in the opulent resort community of Wailea. An oasis of golf courses, lawns, and gardens, Wailea is justly famed for its luxurious hotels and fine dining, but it is also a mecca for art lovers from around the world. The Shops at Wailea host six distinct art galleries with offerings ranging from paintings and giclees, to sculptures, glasswork, fine-art photography, and jewelry. You'll find the work of local artists, along with pieces by internationally acclaimed painters and sculptors. There is even a gallery featuring work by and about celebrities - and Wednesday evening is the perfect time to see them all.
Envision the setting: the sun is sinking toward the blue Pacific, the heat of the day has begun to dissipate, and a balmy peace settles over the courtyards and fountains. Did you bring a date? We hope so, because it's WOW! Wailea on Wednesdays. The fun begins with live music starting at 6:30 P.M. On many evenings you will find the wonderful Jamie Lawrence Hawaiian Band. Other nights may bring acoustic guitar or classical music. Sit and listen for awhile, but save time to visit the galleries.
Receptions for visiting artists are regularly hosted on Wednesday evenings. Step inside a gallery and you may be offered a glass of champagne to enjoy as you browse the collection. Chat with the staff, or step forward, and meet the artist whose works are being featured. You might see Dario Campanile, Hong Leung, Betty Hay Freeland, Jia Liu, or other well-known names. You might even see an artist at work... on a recent evening we watched as a miniature sunset was composed before our eyes.
Though your tour of the galleries may be over, your evening doesn't need to be. As the music in the courtyard draws to a close, consider a meal in one of the many fine restaurants that call The Shops at Wailea home.
WOW! Wailea on Wednesdays runs from 6:30 P.M. to 9:00 P.M., every Wednesday evening. Enjoy!
