The Book Doctors -

Jackie Pias Carlin returned to college in 1997, a former performing and visual artist. She has a Bachelor Degree in LIBARTS in Human Relations from the University of Hawaii and Masters in English from the Bread Loaf School of English of Middlebury College.

She has taught creative writing in the Personal and Community Enrichment Program, and Business Writing WI Class at Maui Community College. She currently gives workshops in autobiography at Kaunoa Senior Centers in Maui, Hawaii.

Her memoir, Spirit of the Village A Maui Memoir is in its second printing and was published in 2005, available at all Borders, amazon.com, and from her website: jackiepiascarlin.maui.net.

She believe anyone can obtain good writing by practicing the elements and basic structure of writing. Like Tai Chi, writing is a life long practice. Jackie lives in Kihei where she jogs, does yoga, and gardens. She travels when the rates are affordable.

Her Evaluation/Critique services have assisted many writers seeking publication.
