The beautiful Hawaiian Island of Maui has a variety of fabulous and outstanding private ocean front or ocean view wedding and reception sites for you to choose from. Most couples who have the good fortune of bringing family members and friends to a Hawaii destination wedding, are looking for a private wedding location. You may want to make sure that both your Maui wedding and reception celebration will not be disturbed by anyone. You may also prefer a private Maui reception location to dining in a public restaurant with uninvited guests. Only a private Maui wedding and reception location can offer you the intimacy that you deserve. When deciding upon a private estate site for your ceremony and reception, you have a lot of freedom in selecting the reception setup. A white wedding tent for shade and ambiance is a beautiful addition. You can further select the caterer who best meets your needs. The choice of table settings and chairs is yours as well as the site decor. Entertainment includes Hawaiian or classical music, Lu'au Shows, DJ's and fire dancing. All sites come with spectacular views and will leave you and your guests stunned with a feeling of awe for the beauty of Hawaii. Some Estates have their preferred caterer that can exclusively enter their site, others allow any catering company that is licensed. Private Hawaii wedding locations on Maui can seat between 20 and 100 guests. Some are able to seat up to 300.
Curfew time in Hawaii is at 10:00 p.m. and noise ordinance orders us to shut down all life or DJ music by 9:45 p.m. which is why you may want to start your celebration erlier.
We have created a sample wedding proposal for twenty-five guests for the Ke Ali'i Nui Ocean front Estate in Haiku/Maui, followed by a proposal for fifty guests at the Honua Kai Lani Ocean front Estate in Makena, Maui. You can substitute all items and use any of the private estates that are available.

The Keali'i Nui Estate is one of the finest and definitely most Hawaiian private wedding locations in the whole State of Hawaii. With its incredibly maintained 11 acres of botanical bliss, this truly unbelievable ocean front garden is located in lush and tropical Haiku, on Maui's famous north shore. Being on this property will give you a feeling of how people in the olden days here in Hawaii used to live and love. You will enjoy 180 degrees of unobstructed ocean views and the only noise beside the crashing waves will be your own happy heartbeat. A white wedding tent is available for you and your guests to use, whether you'd like to be married outside and retreat inside of the tent for shade or shelter for a brunch or dinner to follow. You can tour the gardens after your Hawaiian Cliffside or cascading waterfall ceremony, listening to the waves of the Pacific ocean crashing 500 feet below.
You can choose from three different ceremony sites: a waterfall location, a cliff and a grass lawn ocean front site. Pictures will be taken all over the property after the ceremony, so you will actually be using all of the three sites at no additional cost. White garden plastic chairs, a sound system which the musician can plug into, an arch and private transportation from the Estate's parking lot to the ceremony site are included as well.
For a two hour reception they include a white tent on hardwood floors, a sound system and all tables and chairs.

This private ocean front property is the largest Estate on Maui's south side located in beautiful and remote Makena. A grass lawn area with a stunning white Gazebo, surrounded by turquoise waters, palm trees and lava rocks will give you the perfect location for a romantic sunset ceremony followed by a private dinner reception. This garden is meticulously maintained and allows you to have a private ceremony in a lush tropical setting combined with additional photos on a white sandy beach close by. You also have the availability of renting a four bedroom and three bathroom house which is on property. The advantage of renting this property allows you to enjoy your wedding location all day long.
This charming white Gazebo overlooking the Pacific Ocean is perched 300 feet above the beautiful Wailea coastline with inspiring views of Kaho'olawe, Lana'i and Molokini. For every occasion, small or large, formal or casual, this romantic gazebo is positioned among the lush gardens with wide views of the Pacific Ocean. The silence, peace, and solitude makes it an ideal place for exchanging or renewing your Hawaii wedding vows. Walking among the richly landscaped gardens, waterfalls, and pools filled with Koi, you will find this private Wedding Location a relaxing haven in which to unwind. In addition to the Gazebo Garden, Kaimana Hall, and the Sunset Lawn & Pool area are excellent locales for your special event. Both belong to the Seawatch Restaurant in Wailea and offer the perfect location for Maui wedding ceremonies and Hawaii wedding receptions. Whether it's an intimate gathering of family and friends, or the all-out celebration of a lifetime, there are few places on Earth that can provide as lovely a setting as the natural beauty of Maui's lush, tropical surroundings. The Seawatch Restaurant, with its expansive grounds overlooking the Wailea coastline in South Maui, offers up everything under the sun - a rainbow of options for wedding ceremonies and receptions.
The Lower Lawn:
Located adjacent to - but a level down - from the main dining room, this private area is surrounded by graceful palm trees, with captivating views of the ocean, the neighbor islands, the lushly landscaped golf course, and Mt. Haleakala. This grassy area, bordered by a low, hedge-lined fence for privacy, has a seating capacity
of up to 80 people, making it the perfect setting for a wedding reception or cocktail party.
The Lower Wedding Knoll
The Lower Wedding Knoll is located on the opposite side of the bougainvillea
hedge, just below the Restaurant and by the private road that leads up to the Golf Course. It offers full ocean views, with the islands of Molokini and Kahoolawe in the background. This area is perfect for ceremonies of 30 or more guests, and is
one of the most popular ceremony locations on Maui.
Molokini Lookout:
Located at the top of the Wailea golf courses above The Seawatch Restaurant,
Molokini Lookout is the perfect location for Maui weddings and cocktail receptions, as the grounds of this immense, flat, grassy area were designed specifically with weddings in mind.

The Maluaka Lawn, beach side, offers a stunning oceanfront location. Elevated above the Pacific Ocean, amidst swaying palms, cool ocean breezes and spectacular golden sunsets, you can get no closer to the ocean without actually having your feet in the sand.
Prince Courtyard
The Prince Courtyard provides a picturesque backdrop amidst an exotic tropical garden with a graceful waterfall, rolling brook and tranquil Koi pond. The Prince Courtyard the preferred location for wedding ceremonies by wedding couples and coordinators Statewide. This location is the perfect setting for the ultimate dream wedding and for wedding photographs to last a lifetime.
Pacific Lawn for receptions
The Pacific Lawn compliments its oceanfront setting. Under swaying palm trees, and adjacent to Maluaka Lawn, this location, just a bit above sea-level, allows the rolling surf and golden sunset to caress your intimate dinner reception and is the preferred Oceanfront location for wedding ceremonies and our Intimate Prince Dining experience for two to two-hundred.
Indoor Venues
Prince Ballroom
The Ballroom boasts a 5,200 square-foot space that offers an elegant and versatile room. Large panoramic windows overlook beautiful formal gardens and koi ponds. The room can easily be divided creating two separate rooms and the 3,000 square-foot wrap-around lanai offers a convenient, open-air pre-function area.
Finally- a tropical, romantic, private and affordable location in West Maui! Look no further than to the beautiful white Gazebo at the Resortquest Kaanapali Shores. The Gazebo has a wide and open feel and is large enough to have the couple, minister and up to ten guests inside. The Resort will rope off the area of your Hawaiian Wedding Ceremony and the lush walkway that leads up to the Gazebo can be decorated with fresh flowers and white tulle. We can decorate the Gazebo to your liking or leave it plain as it is pretty enough without any add ons. We do recommend to have rose petals or orchids on the green floor of the Gazebo as well as on its white railing. There are benches and chairs for guests outside of the Gazebo to sit on as well. The sound of the cascading smaller waterfall at the foot of the Gazebo will accompany your Hawaiian style ceremony while you exchange your vows. The Resort has numerous awesome spots for photographs as well and the white sandy beach is just steps away. We can also arrange for a private catered ocean front dinner reception amongst the stars.
This charming and completely rebuilt Hawaiian Style House is situated directly on the blue Pacific ocean in Maalaea Village, Maui. It offers a stunning oceanfront setting and sweeping views of Haleakala and the West Maui Mountains. A large landscaped area invites you to an intimate wedding ceremony followed by dining under the stars for up to seventy guests. Nowhere else on the island than from this magical spot, can you see the moon rise over the majestic Haleakala Volcano. The venue offers a wide variety of options for catered events. The main entertainment room has an open kitchen and elegant seating for up to 32 guests. The concrete floor is designed with banana leaves in shades of green and beige and is used as a dance floor. Hale Kailani was rebuilt with the vision of entertaining. There are two bedrooms and two full bathrooms for you and your guests to use. The Bride and her attendants can get ready in one bedroom and may enter the property as early as 12:00 noon. Maalaea is a little fishing village with only a few condominiums and a small harbor.
Come and enjoy this private ocean front Hawaiian setting on Maui's West side in a small town called Kahana. Kalaeokai' literally means 'point of fish.' The point that the family property sits on was well known for the abundant amounts of fish and in the olden days, everyone used to love to fish in that area. The oceanfront setting boasts fabulous sunsets but is also perfect for intimate morning ceremonies. The site seats a maximum of 125 guests. It is ideal for both ceremony & reception. On site parking, restroom and separate covered patio area for caterers makes this location truly ideal.
Wake up to the gentle lapping of ocean waves, right in Lahaina Town. This ideally located ocean estate sleeps up to sixteen guests in five distinctive suites plus an additional Ohana unit. Rent them out separately or reserver the whole house for a group. Stunning views out to the island of Lanai and Molokai create dramatic sunsets with the silhouettes of sail boats, turtles and dolphins and in winter, spectacular whale watching through the end of March. Relax on a lounger or at the outdoor dining table on the covered back porch. A grassy lawn, palm trees and a heart shaped swimming pool complete the feeling of paradise. For ocean entry, a sandy pocket beach bordering the property eases into a shallow reef.
