MAUI MINISTERS

Reverend Ernest Puaa was born on Oahu and raised on the friendly island of Moloka'i before moving to Maui in the late 70's. In the early years of his life, his father, an accomplished slack key guitarist, taught him how to play the guitar; while his mother taught him to sing. Hawaiian music has therefore always been a big part of his life. AKA "Da Barefoot Warrior" he has been one of the most sought after musicians on Maui, playing for many wedding couples and in many different venues. As time went on, one of Maui’s great reverends Pastor Laki Kaahumanu encouraged him to become an officiate and ordained him. Ernest Puaa is a wonderful, and kind hearted person, a God loving human being and well known for his caring manner. He finds joy in sharing his love and Aloha spirit with so many different kinds of people; who were once strangers in his life and are now part of his "Ohana" which means "Family."
What a blessing to be married by this truly Hawaiian spiritual man who finds pleasure in knowing that he is doing exactly what he was put on this earth for.

Pastor Vance Ali'i Rosete   was born and raised on the beautiful island of Maui. He is a dedicated and committed husband and father, married for over 15 years. "Commitment" is the word he gives to those newlywed couples; for it is through commitment, that love can be validated. He knew he had been called by God to enter the ministry. In 1999 he was ordained as a minister of the Gospel, by Pastor Laki Kaahumanu of Harvest Chapel, Church of God, where he became one of his associate pastors. Pastor Laki not only introduced him to the wedding ministry, but was also his mentor. With Pastor Laki's blessing, Pastor Vance started his own, non-denominational, Christian ministry, and New Passion Ministries was born.
Pastor Vance feels so honored and blessed to have been given the privilege to join two people, before God, in Holy Matrimony. Although he has performed hundreds of Wedding Ceremonies and Vow Renewals, he sees each one as being unique and special. Each and every ceremony he performs is truly sincere and heartfelt. He can make the most nervous grooms and brides feel comfortable with his warm and gentle spirit.

Valentine Rosete.   Reverend Valentine Tino Rosete was born and raised on the beautiful island of Maui. Tino was ordained through New Passion Ministries and has been doing weddings on Maui since 2001. Though he has married hundreds of happy couples with his Hawaiian Non-denominational Christian ceremonies, he continues to treat every new ceremony as a new chance to pour his sincerity and passion into every word he speaks. Tino feels truly blessed to do what he does, and he derives no greater pleasure than in the sharing of his faith and his Aloha spirit.

Reverend Keli'i Brown was born in lush and beautiful Hilo on the Big Island of Hawai'i and raised on the Leeward Coast of O'ahu.  He grew up not only learning and understanding but more so appreciating Hawaiian traditions and customs.  He revels in the opportunity to marry couples on his chosen island home of Maui.  He has married couples from all across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Australia and Japan.  "There is a reason why people choose Hawai'i and specifically Maui to wed," Rev, Keli'i states.  "Yes, our island provides a spectacular backdrop and first-class services, but I believe it is our world renown "aloha" that draws people here for their special day."  And that is exactly what will draw you to this fun loving, warm and truly educated Hawaiian minister who enjoys sharing his very spirit of aloha with "malihini" or visitors.  His specialty, and favorite, is his Hawaiian Ceremony (though he performs all types).  He brings the traditions of his culture to every ceremony as taught to him by his "kupuna wahine" or grandmother.  "I want to provide them with a true 'sense of place' and share a bit of the real Hawai'i with them."  His signature 'oli (chant) and Hawaiian ring blessing are uniquely his own.  Rev. Keli'i looks forward to making your day as special as you deserve it to be.

Reverend Kenika Dennis de Rego.   Rev. Kenika Dennis C. De Rego was born on the island of Kauai and raised here on Maui. He is an ordained non-denominational Hawaiian minister and the founder of Aloha Nohea Church. After finishing college on Oahu, he then moved back to Upcountry Maui where his Portuguese ancestors originally migrated to in 1878. With Love and Aloha he will create loving memories for a lifetime and will work with you on Your Vow's, Reading's or Special Poem's and Prayers. He realizes that some couples like to write their own vows, others want to add different traditions. He will spent the time needed to create the right ceremony for the both of you. He performs Christian, Hawaiian, non-denominational, contemporary and traditional Wedding Ceremonies for couples of all faith's, also Vow Renewals, Baptism and Blessings. He looks forward to be able to share his "Aloha Spirit" on this most precious, loving and sacred moment.

Kimo Kirkman.   James Kimo Kirkman's family is originally from Scotland, his last name comes from "Churchman" which means "people of the church". He has lived all over the world in Germany, Korea, Japan just to name a few but truly feels at home and found a home on Maui. He moved to this beautiful place in 2000 when he met Pastor Laki Kaahumanu who married him. At that moment he felt a very strong calling to work with Laki. He stayed on Maui and has been following the Lord ever since. Kimo is now an Associate Pastor at the Harvest Chapel, Church of God, serving under Pastor Laki Kaahumanu. He feels very blessed to be a part of each couples special day and shares the Aloha spirit with everyone. His relaxed, happy and Hawaiian style will make you feel very comfortable and taken care of.

Richardo Hanakoo.  Richardo Hanakoo was born and raised in Indonesia in an orphanage and educated by the Dutch. He is a Conzega University graduate and was involved with orphanage charities in South America and Indonesia most of his life. His spiritual journey started from the days of the discipline in the orphanage as a Jesuit student to that magical discovery of the greatness of the spiritual universe. It has given him the wonderful opportunities to help many with their own spiritual beginnings. Richardo came to Maui 11 years ago and right away felt the glory of paradise that is everywhere here in Maui and realized that he has come home. He is a non-denominational minister and has a way of embracing and touching everybody with that joy and Aloha that is so special of Maui. He feels that the magical moment of your wedding ceremony must be a memory that last a life time.
